Bremshey Cardio Pacer Exercise Bike Review

The Bremshey Cardio Pacer is a stylish bike that has quite a lot to offer for the price tag. The action is very smooth thanks to the 11kg flywheel and very quiet - you can easily watch the TV and cycle away to your hearts content without spoiling your enjoyment. The built-in transport wheels are a good size making it easy to move around as it's only 34kg in total.

The Pacer comes with a good range of programmes, twelve in total, to keep you motivated including heart rate control to help burn off the fat! You can monitor your pulse via the hand grips or ear clip. The console does have a built-in polar chip for use with a chest strap, however the chest strap is not included. I would recommend you buy a chest strap as this is the most accurate way to measure your pulse. The measurement from hand grips can be as much as 15 percent wrong due to poor contact with the sensors thanks to the sweat you build up when training in addition to the weakness of the pulse in the hands.

The heart rate controlled programmes are a great way to burn off the fat or increase fitness as they automatically alter the resistance on the pedals or prompt you to speed up to keep your pulse in a specific range to optimise your workout.

Our only minor beef is the console is a little unimaginative in displaying the workout data and some may find it difficult to read. Apart from that it's a great bike with a comfortable saddle and enough adjustable settings for most to find a good riding position. The warranty is great - the frame and braking system is covered fro 15 years, and everything else for 2 years parts and labour.

Conclusion: A great bike at a good price with an excellent warranty.
